Noodle



Noodles are divided into six groups.
The first group is buckwheat noodles. It used in Japanese food. We often eat buckwheat noodles in special day. For example the last day of the year, it called toshikoshisoba, and the day which we move to a new house, it called hikkoshisoba. Also it sometimes caused allergy.
The second group is udon. It also used in Japanese food.
The third group is soumen. It also used in Japanese food. And it also eat in summer.
The forth group is Chinese noodles. It used in Chinese food. But ramen is very famous in Japan, so Japan has original culture of ramen.
The fifth group is gelatin noodles. It mainly used in Chinese food. But now it become the center of public attention in Japan now as a food which is low-calorie. So there are many kinds of instant foods which use gelatin noodles in Japan.
The last group is pasta. It used in Italian food. It go well with many kinds sauce, so it proves useful to Japanese.
